Five reasons why must not burst crackers this Diwali

Posted by SUPERBHUMANS on 2021-11-03

5 reasons that might just convince you to give up bursting crackers this year.

1) SMOG - The cold winter season and the air is filled with smog. Particulate matter mixed with smoke from automobiles is choking us. During Diwali, the pollution skyrockets to 80% due to bursting of firecrackers.
Should you choke yourself and others?

1. Fire break-outs/ accidents
Fire accidents are common in cracker markets – Do you remember the havoc in Faridabad or in Kozhikode, Kerala. A tiny spark is enough to set fire to a whole region, damage properties, and claim lives.
Is it really worth the Risk?

3. Garbage
Forget Modi'sSwaccha Bharat campaign. Are you happy to see garbage all over when you wake up on Diwali? The crackers not only pollute by contaminating the air but also pollutes our neighborhoods.

4. Child Labour
Children who work in dangerous conditions often face fire accidents, sometimes so serious it leaves them crippled. A large number of fire accidents are reported every year from Sivakasi (Tamil Nadu).
The time to act and save these children is to say no to crackers.
When the demand for crackers dies, supply will also die.

5) Waste of money
Imagine what USD 0.69 billion (Rs. 48, 98, 55, 15, 000) can do for these people?
