Ask yourself. Education, a brighter future. Is knowing where Ruskin Bond was born going to tell me how to be successful? No.
What does school teach?

The word "Education" comes from the Latin word “Educe,” which means to bring out people’s inner talents - School doesn’t do that! It stuffs facts inside you. That’s Bulimia. The more bulimic you are, the better you will score.
If we take a look forward, what life skills do we need in our life?
1. How to deal with failure
2. How to believe in yourself
3. How to deal with business loss, break-ups and work failure
4. How to stay motivated
5. How to plan your day.
Is your school teaching you this? If suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death of 10-14 aged students, why are students not being taught self-care? Harvard studies suggest that the most significant predictor for success is self-control and emotional health. Then, why in the world are we not trained to handle stress or rejection?
How many students avoid eye contact with the teacher, so they don’t have to answer the question? How many students are afraid to raise their hand in fear of being wrong? This proves school isn’t an environment for learning. If schools were interested in our success, students would have more freedom and less homework. We have ZERO freedom, bells control us, we have to learn in rooms, like prison cells. We have to ask the teacher even to quench our thirst!
WHAT IS SCHOOL FOR? Some say to be successful. Do we really need school to be successful? Creators of Apple, Facebook, Youtube, Snapchat or Whatsapp all were dropouts! The creator of IKEA, he didn’t even go to school. There are so many more, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Ben Franklin, Thomas Edison, Ernest Hemingway, Mark Twain, Teddy Roosevelt, Margret Mead.
